Quick Start Guide
1.Enable or disable automatic app notifications for irrigation events
2.Set the time additional notifications are to be sent prior to the event starting
3.Set the year end month for annual reports
|Farm and Block Setup
1.Select the Farm tab
2.Touch the + button in the top right hand corner to create a new farm
3.Touch the farm icon on the left to edit the farm name and other details
|Edit Farm Details
1.Touch “Edit” to edit the farm name, address and comments
2.Touch “Done” to save any changes
3.Touch the “Farms” button to go back to the Farm list
•Fields in the IRRIGATION section are calculated fields and will show the sum of the block values.
|Edit Irrigation Block Details
1.Touch the + button in the Farm section row to add a new block
2.Select the block row to edit the block name and other details
3.Enter the size number of irrigation points and the flow rate in liters per hour for each irrigation point.
•If the flow rates for irrigation points in the block vary then calculate the average value and enter that value
|Irrigation Plan Creation
1.Select the Plan tab
2.Touch the + button in the top right hand corner to create a new plan
3.Touch the plan icon on the left to edit the plan name and other details such as schedule type and start and end dates
4.Touch the + button in the Plan section row to add a new group
5.Touch the (i) button in the Group row to edit the group name
6.Select the Group row to create scheduled irrigation events for block – this will take you to a new page
•Schedule types can be weekly, fortnightly or monthly and will be repeated during the start and end dates.
•Weeks always start on Mondays and end on Sundays
•A planned schedule will only start on the first Monday on or after the planned start date
•A planned schedule will end on the last Sunday on or before the end date
|Create the Block Irrigation Schedules
1.Touch the + button in the top right hand corner to add a new block schedule – this will take you to the block schedule screen
2.Touch the block name and select the block from the block pick list
3.Modify any other fields as required and click “Done” to save the changes – this will take you back to the list of block schedules
4.Touch the + button in the block schedule section row to add a new scheduled event – this will take to to the scheduled event screen
5.Select the required week, day, start time and duration for the event and click “Done” to save the scheduled event. NOTE: this will be used as the template for generating irrigation events for each repeat cycle.
6.Add more block schedules and scheduled events as required.
|Generate the Plans Scheduled Events
Once the irrigation plan has been set up you can check the plan by:
1.Navigate back to the Plan list
2.Touch the Plan icon in the Plan section row – this will show the Plan details screen
3.Scroll to the bottom of the screen and select the “View gant chart” option to see a gant chart showing each blocks scheduled events on a schedule timeline
|1. Once you have confirmed the schedule is correct select the “Generate schedule” option to see a full list of all the irrigation events that will be generated for the entire plan period.
2.Touch “Save” to save these events to the current schedule.
|Manage the Active Schedule of Events
Select the Active Schedule tab to see the current list of scheduled irrigation events. The list of scheduled events has events grouped as follows:
-Due in the next hour
-Due in the next 24 hours
-Due in more than 24 hours
|Events can only be started or cancelled if they are within 1 hour of the planned start time.
1.Touch the switch on the event row to record the irrigation start time.
2.Touch the switch to stop the irrigation start time – completed events will be removed from the Active Schedule list and will appear in the Complete Schedule list.
3.Touch the “Completed” option in the top right corner of the Active Schedule screen to view the completed events.
|Generate Irrigation Reports
To generate monthly or annual irrigation reports for a farm do the following:
1.Select the Farm tab
2.Touch the Farm icon on the farm section row to get to the farm details screen
3.Scroll to the bottom of the farm details screen
4.Select the “Irrigation Reports” option
5.Select the report type and period
6.Select “View report” to view the generated PDF report
